ABOUT ME

Hello, I am Cecey Karoki, the founder and C.E.O of Halisi Visions. I am a fashion and portrait photographer based in Washington, D.C.. 

Born in Silver Spring and raised in Kenya in my developmental years, my perspective is enriched by diverse cultural experiences. With a background in modeling and a deep appreciation for self-expression, I developed a love for photography in 2015.  I find joy in in exploring the interplay of color, shape, and creative angles within my work. Through my photography, I hope to ignite a sense of self-discovery, empowerment and artistic expression. I continuously refine my skills, push the boundaries of my creativity and actively seeks new opportunities to collaborate with like-minded individuals.

BECOMING HALISI VISIONS

The word "Halisi" is of Swahili origin and it means "real, authentic, and genuine."



I founded the brand in 2020 with the intention of creating something that truly represents my identity. I decided to incorporate Swahili, one of the primary languages in Kenya, in my brand welcoming you into a part of my world.
